Hello & Welcome to my web site ...
My sincerest congratulations to you both on your upcoming wedding!
Before you leave this site, please, read some of the unsolicited testimonials!
A unique personalized ceremony is much more than the action of arranging and selecting poems, rituals, readings, etc. The ceremony is the CORE of the wedding and should capture the depth of meaning for the couple’s journey together. Each couple is a co-creator of their ceremony in expressing their love, commitment, hopes and desires for their future.
I create personalized, original ceremonies, for interfaith, intercultural, interracial, religious, same-faith, interdenominational, humanist, atheist and agnostic weddings, honoring the cultural, ethnic and racial diversity of each couple.
Many avenues are used to accomplish this goal. One such avenue is the completion of a questionnaire by the bride and groom individually which allows them to express themselves fully while offering the necessary answers which allows me to get to know each on a deeper level. My role as a wedding minister is very sacred to me. To be a part of a couple’s commitment to travel the path of life together is one of the truly emotionally gratifying experiences.
My name is Elisheva C. Clegg. I am an ordained interfaith minister and pastoral counselor, M.A serving Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland and North Carolina. Thank you for viewing my website and the services I offer..

What is an Interfaith Minister?
"Most fundamentally, interfaith is respect. Respect for different traditions, different religions, different faiths. It is coming to understanding them. And more, it is coming to love them. All of us have so many layers in our lives. We speak many languages and listen to diverse music. We eat many kinds of foods. It is time that our spiritual diet, too, becomes a healthy mixed menu. Its very variety makes us richer, deeper, more understanding, more loving."

Let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of heaven dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of your be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
When it came to our wedding, it was so very important to get the ceremony right. In fact, we felt that the ceremony was the most important part of the day. We had been approached by many people on both sides of the family wishing to mold our day to fall in line with their beliefs; they did not take into account our feelings and our wishes. Reverend Elisheva and her husband came through for us in a way that no one else could. Thanks to them both, Byron and I had the marriage ceremony we had envisioned from the start- only better. My husband said he knew after Rev. Elisheva performed his sister and brother-in-law’s ceremony a few years back that she was the right choice for us as well, and he was correct!
The words she spoke to us and our family and friends that day were truly touching, and provided everyone present with a heartfelt indication of who we are as individuals and what the love we share means. Several people have told us that our ceremony was the most beautiful they have ever been to! The ceremony she performed encompassed all the things most important to us, and it illuminated and celebrated our love story in a way that we’ll never forget! It was so genuine and true to our love that it brought tears of joy to our eyes, and a memory to share which will never fade. We will always remember the guidance Elisheva gave us in the months before the wedding, and the way she encouraged us to look within ourselves to better understand the bond we share as a couple.
Reverend Elisheva and T. Wade, thank you for all the love and advice you have given us, and most of all, thank you for making our wedding ceremony everything we could have hoped for and more. If weddings are in part the celebration to mark a moment in time where our lives move forward, then the work that you did will help us to remember that moment in its perfection for the rest of our days.
Thank you again!
