Reverend Elisheva - Virginia Wedding Minister and Officiant

"Creating personalized, original ceremonies incorporating practices, rituals, prayers, poems, readings and music honoring the cultural, ethnic and racial diversity of each couple."

Hello & Welcome to my web site ...

My sincerest congratulations to you both on your upcoming wedding!

Before you leave this site, please, read some of the unsolicited testimonials!

A unique personalized ceremony is much more than the action of arranging and selecting poems, rituals, readings, etc. The ceremony is the CORE of the wedding and should capture the depth of meaning for the couple’s journey together. Each couple is a co-creator of their ceremony in expressing their love, commitment, hopes and desires for their future.

I create personalized, original ceremonies, for interfaith, intercultural, interracial, religious, same-faith, interdenominational, humanist, atheist and agnostic weddings, honoring the cultural, ethnic and racial diversity of each couple.

Many avenues are used to accomplish this goal. One such avenue is the completion of a questionnaire by the bride and groom individually which allows them to express themselves fully while offering the necessary answers which allows me to get to know each on a deeper level. My role as a wedding minister is very sacred to me. To be a part of a couple’s commitment to travel the path of life together is one of the truly emotionally gratifying experiences.

My name is Elisheva C. Clegg. I am an ordained interfaith minister and pastoral counselor, M.A serving Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland and North Carolina. Thank you for viewing my website and the services I offer..

What is an Interfaith Minister?

"Most fundamentally, interfaith is respect. Respect for different traditions, different religions, different faiths. It is coming to understanding them. And more, it is coming to love them. All of us have so many layers in our lives. We speak many languages and listen to diverse music. We eat many kinds of foods. It is time that our spiritual diet, too, becomes a healthy mixed menu. Its very variety makes us richer, deeper, more understanding, more loving."

Wedding Bands

On Marriage

Let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of heaven dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of your be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

Dear T. Wade and Elisheva,

I just wanted to say hello and let you know that Lee and I are thinking about you as our one year anniversary is just around the corner. I can't believe 365 days could fly by so quickly. I remember all of the excitement and planning of just 12 short months ago so well!

To reminisce I got out the wedding binder that you gave to us. It made me cry and fell so much happiness just like it did 1 year ago. I can't thank the 2 of you enough for making our day so unbelievably wonderful. Lee and I have been to a few weddings since ours and not to slight other people's days, but our wedding was so much more personal and reflective on us as a couple that in our opinions it was much better. We still have people tell us even now how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. And we owe that all to you.

So, rest assured that Lee and I are still completely smitten with each other and deeply in love. We are making a getaway for the weekend to Seattle on a vacation/work trip (I have a seminar I have to attend for one day but we'll have 2 days to explore and at least we'll be together).

Love, Robin (and Lee)

"My name is Serafina Rose Kubersky, and I was born on September 23, 2008 - 8 days late - 10 fingers, 10 toes, dark hair, and
definitely the cutest newborn in the whole nursery. My parents, Lee and Robin Kubersky, were married in a beautiful ceremony on October 7, 2006 by Reverend Elisheva. My mom and dad are both doctors who help people to cure their illnesses. When I grow up I will be the President of the United States, and I will cure all the problems in the country and in the world. Watch me growing up! I am also a proud member of Reverend Elisheva & Reverend T. Wade's
Spiritual Grandchildren."
